7Prepare for Morning Sickness
Morning sickness is a common issue in pregnant women. However, not everyone experiences this symptom. Despite its name, morning sickness may occur either during the day or at night. It typically starts around week 6 of the pregnancy and persists until the end of the first trimester. The duration can vary from person to person. To reduce the risk, it is better to prepare for morning sickness with the following things: carbonated water, candies, ginger tea, lozenges, peppermint tea, saltine crackers, or anti-nausea bands. Have a Balanced Diet
A balanced and healthy diet is always important for overall health, but it is particularly more important for pregnant women. This is because the fetus requires sufficient nutrients to develop and grow. Ideally, your diet should contain a lot of fiber, lean protein, healthy fat, and complex carbs. The key is to take in enough vitamins and nutrients for both the mother and baby. On the other hand, avoid the following foods to reduce possible health issues: raw sprouts, sushi, deli meat, unpasteurized cheese and milk, unwashed veggies and fruits, raw or undercooked fish and meat, high-mercury fish.
