7What to Do After an ALT Test
After an ALT test, you should discuss with your healthcare provider about the results to determine whether they are normal or not. If the levels are too low or high, they would suggest the proper treatment. For higher levels, additional tests may be done to find out the underlying cause of the damage. After the procedure, you would feel lightheaded, so it is better to wait until you are better before going home. There would be slight bruising and soreness at the site where blood is drawn. However, these problems only last for 1 or 2 days. [7]
