14Brown Rice
Naturally, brown rice is free of sodium. When cooked in water without added salt, brown rice produces zero content of sodium per cup. But with the addition of salt, it begins to have a sodium content and the more the salt, the more the sodium increases. In place of salt, you can add flavor to your brown rice with spices like cayenne, paprika, and turmeric. If you are used to salt before now and it will seem difficult crossing out salt from your food, add just a little bit of sea salt. [13]
