7Peanuts
Despite its name, peanuts are not nuts, but actually legumes. Both peanut butter and whole peanuts are full of protein and other nutrients, such as vitamin E, magnesium, as well as folate. A portion of 30-gram peanuts contains almost 7.5 grams of protein. Similarly, a tablespoon of peanut butter contains more than 3.5 grams of protein. Due to their high protein content, consuming peanuts can be very filling. Some studies have suggested that consuming peanut butter with a high-carb meal would help lower a surge in blood sugar after that. For instance, you may spread peanut butter on bread to feel fuller and stabilize blood sugar levels after the meal. [7]
