14Calcium
The simplest and safest way to treat hypocalcemia is to include more calcium-foods into your daily meal. These include tofu, broccoli, figs, beans, fortified cereals, spinach, soy meal, seeds, nuts, yogurt, cheese, milk, and more. Ideally, the daily recommended intake of calcium is around 1,000 to 1,200 mg for typical adults. Children and older people should consume more. If you decide to take calcium supplements, make sure to consult your doctor first to get the right dosages. Otherwise, consuming excessively would increase the risks of many serious health problems, such as kidney failure or heart disease. When diet changes or supplements do not work, your doctor might suggest calcium injections. [14]
