6Physical Symptoms
While frontotemporal dementia is a mental issue, it can lead to many physical symptoms. These include stiff and slow movements, trouble swallowing, muscle weakness, loss of bowel control, or loss of bladder control. They tend to show up in advanced stages when the damages occur in the brain areas that are responsible for these activities and tasks. These symptoms would make your daily activities harder to the extent that you cannot look after yourself. In more serious cases, some difficulties with movement can occur. [6]
