For instance, inhaled, topical, and systemic corticosteroids might significantly increase the risks of developing cataracts. These drugs commonly trigger posterior subcapsular cataracts. Also, those people who often take antipsychotic medications to treat schizophrenia might be at higher risks of cataract formation due to lens opacities.
