Although this symptom is rare, there is the possibility of a miscarriage depending on the size and the location of the tumors. A large fibroid tends to be problematic than a smaller one. A submucosal fibroid which is closer to the middle of the uterus where a fertilized egg is more likely to the implant can cause miscarriage. Also, a large fibroid contains more blood vessels and take blood flow away from the uterus and the developing fetus; this might lead to miscarriage. [8]
