9A feeling of fullness in the lower abdomen
This symptom is quite common among women with fibroids. As fibroid tumors grow and increase in the uterus, the uterus also expands and become larger thereby consuming space. The large uterus then displaces other abdominal structures that would have normally lay down. Also, the large uterus may push down on the bowels, causing bloating and excess gas. This makes patients feel heaviness and pressure in their lower abdomen, which is quite inconveniencing. This symptom will also make it difficult to lie face down, bend over or exercise with comfort.
