A pancreatitis flare can also lead to an increase in your body temperature. Having a fever is a way through which your body tries to defend or protect itself from infections or other dangerous forces. Hence, a fever is said to be normal and expected to go on its own after some days. But in a situation whereby the fever is lasting beyond days and accompanied by chills and night sweats, this could signal a pancreatitis flare, and you are advised to contact your doctor immediately. Fever with chills and night sweats can be a sign of acute pancreatitis.
