Salmon is a general name for different species of the ray-finned fish. Now, when I mention salmon, I do not mean the farmed ones, I am talking about the wild-caught Alaskan salmon. Wild-caught fishes have been researched to be one of the healthiest foods around, providing many nutrients like Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B, protein and phosphorus amongst others.
