13High-purine Veggies
Ideally, a low-purine diet should be limited to 100 to 2000 mg of uric acid on a daily basis. While most types of veggies are low-purine foods that contain no more than 100mg of purines per 100g serving, there are some foods that can be highly concentrated with these components. These include peapods, peas, leeks, Brussels sprouts, bean sprouts, as well as artichokes. The exact amount of purine in these veggies can range from 60 to 100mg per 100g. For this reason, you should consume them in moderation and switch to low-purine veggies to reduce the risks of high uric acid and gout. [13]
