2What Does Medicare Cover?
There are different parts of Medicare that cover different healthcare services. These include:
– Medicare Part A covers inpatient services in hospitals, medical centers, and skilled nursing facilities
– Medicare Part B covers outpatient diagnostic, treatment, and preventive services associated with your health conditions. Medicare Part A and Part B are called original Medicare
– Medicare Part C, also called Medicare Advantage, is a private option. It covers all services in Medicare Parts A and B, along with additional coverage for hearing, dental, vision services, and prescription medications
– Medicare Part D covers the costs of some prescription medications
– Medicare supplemental insurance, also known as Medigap, may help cover some out-of-pocket costs for Medicare [3]
