9Fatty Foods
Most kinds of fat, such as saturated and trans, would slow down the emptying of your stomach. This eventually affects digestion and worsens gastroparesis’s symptoms. Also, these components would disturb the balance of bacteria in the gut and undermine digestive health. All of those effects will make it more difficult to recover from gastroparesis. To reduce risk, it is better to limit the consumption of fatty foods, especially dairy products and fried foods. Instead, replace with polyunsaturated or monounsaturated fats in spinach, soybeans, walnuts, or fish. [9]
