Before prescription, the patient must be confirmed to have a tumor with NTRK gene fusion. Larotrectinib comes in pill form, as well as an oral solution. The recommended dosage depends on the surface area of the body. Larotrectinib can be taken with or without food, for as long as it isn’t toxic to you. For people with body surface area of above 1 m², 100 mg of larotrectinib is recommended. The oral solution comes in a concentration of 20 mg/ml. Taking larotrectinib alongside strong CYP3A4 inducers is strongly dissuaded. If coadministration with strong CYP3A4 inducers happens, double the dosage of larotrectinib (Vitrakvi). [4]
