3Storage
The pill form of the drug should be stored in its original pill container, tightly sealed and kept at room temperature. The part of the room where it is kept should be dry, and free from draught. The oral liquid form should be preserved in a refrigerator. Care should be taken not to leave it in a pillbox outside the refrigerator. Ensure the pills are appropriately handled by the caregiver. This involves the transfer of the drug directly from the container to the cap, or a small cup, without contact with the hands of the caregiver. They could transfer the drug to your own hands. Do not let pregnant women or nursing mothers prepare the drug dose for you. After you’ve completed your medication, take heed not to dispose of the remaining pills indiscriminately.[3]
