7Rest
Sometimes, a lack of sleep or irregular sleep pattern can trigger or worsen occipital neuralgia. Therefore, you need to take sufficient rest during the day to relieve the pain and discomfort. A typical adult should sleep at least 8 to 9 hours on a daily basis. It is advisable to go to sleep and get up at a fixed time each day. To fall asleep easier, try to avoid using electronic devices 1 or 2 hours before the sleeping time, such as TV, smartphone, or laptop. Also, your bedroom should be dark and cool. [7]
