6Push forward together
Knowing that you would disappoint your classmates by failing to be present on an exercise group class might keep you from bypassing the workout. However, joining a training session with other people will also give you a chance to push yourself harder.
Imagine this situation: you are working out on your own at home. You have completed 15 push-ups and now want to hit 20, but after a long and stressful day at school or work, you might feel too tired and decide to stop with 15. Now, imagine that you are in an exercise group rather than your house – with your personal trainer and classmates looking on, you will certainly be far more likely to push yourself harder to seek their approval and complete these 5 extra reps. In the long term, this will help you go beyond the limitations and achieve your goals quicker. [6]
