12Therapies
There is still no cure for Williams syndrome. However, some therapies can help patients overcome developmental difficulties and improve their quality of life. These include behavioral counseling, vocational training, special education, language and speech therapy, and a combination of feeding, occupational, and physical therapy. The main goal is to teach adults, children, and babies with some important skills that might be difficult to learn themselves. This allows them to gain more independence in community and school settings. Some genetic counseling sessions are also available for the patients and their families to have a better understanding of the condition. [12]
