6Whooping Cough
Whooping cough or pertussis is a severe bacterial infection. Babies with this condition have no fever or cold symptoms. Instead, they would experience face discoloration, bulging eyes, and a loud, quick whoop. The most effective way to prevent whooping cough is to get the vaccination. Keep in mind that your babies will not be fully protected until they get 3 doses. In serious cases, hospitalization is needed to relieve coughing and help babies breathe easily. Some antibiotics like erythromycin can also be prescribed to prevent the bacteria from spreading. [6]
