6Exercises
Once the pain and discomfort caused by shoulder bursitis disappear, you need to do some gentle exercises to speed up healing and improve the strength of the shoulder. It also keeps your shoulder active, thus reducing strain on the joint. Common options include:
– Stick lifts: Stand upright and hold a stick in both hands with your palms facing down. Raise it slowly overhead and keep your arms straight. Stay in this position for 5 seconds and lower the arms slowly.
– Shoulder rotation: Stand upright and lift the shoulders to your ears in 5 seconds. Next, squeeze your shoulder blades behind your back in 5 seconds. Pull your shoulder blades down to the heels in 5 seconds. [6]
