Usually, most drugs have their side effects, and the FOLFOX regimen isn’t an exception. There are several complications that may result from FOLFOX treatment. Some of them are very common, some others are very rare. Some of the commonest ones are discussed below.
More than 20 people in 100 have side effects of:
•Difficulty swallowing
•Diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, loss of appetite, nausea
•Pain, cough, fever
•Redness, with peeling of palms and soles
•Numbness, tingling
Around 10 in 100 people may experience symptoms of:
•Blurred vision and watering eyes
•Liver damage with yellowing of eyes and skin
•Confusion and dizziness
•Change in voice
•Muscle weakness[4]
