7Non-Epileptic Event
Unlike other types of seizures that involve atypical electrical activity in the brain, a non-epileptic event is usually triggered by mental or physical stress. Typical examples of this form include dissociative seizures, panic attacks, or fainting. In this non-epileptic event, people may injure themselves, but this case is rare. Depending on the type of non-epileptic event you have, one or more of the following symptoms may occur:
– A loss of consciousness
– Tingling sensations
– Increased heart rate
– Fullness in the stomach
– Confusion after the seizure
– Dry mouth
– Sweating
– Less control of body movements [7]
