4Generalized Tonic-Clonic Seizure
A generalized tonic-clonic seizure typically leads to a loss of consciousness. Most people do not feel anything during this period. An aura would happen before the seizure. When it occurs and you start to lose your consciousness, the tonic phase will cause muscle contractions. In the clonic phase, you may convulse and muscles in the body may become rigid and relaxed alternately. During or after a generalized tonic-clonic seizure, you would lose control of your bowels and bladder as well. It is common to feel sore, tired, and confused after a seizure. In some cases, a severe headache would happen. You would have discomfort or pain if a seizure causes you to fall. [4]
