13Vertigo Diet
Patients with vertigo can either increase or lessen the severity of the disease through their diet. The food they take in goes a long way in helping or worsening the situation.
Foods Rich in Vitamin D
Foods rich in vitamin D should be incorporated into your diet when you are diagnosed with vertigo. They will prevent recurring attacks of vertigo and hasten the recovery process. Certain studies carried out on some vertigo patients show that patients with low vitamin D have increased risk of having positional vertigo. An experiment carried out also reports that vertigo patients who receive vitamin D therapy did not suffer any repeated episodes of vertigo. There are so many foods rich in vitamin D that you can incorporate into your diet, such as salmon, tuna, beef liver, cheese, egg yolks, cereals, etc. [10]
