8Multiple Pregnancies
The risk of developing an umbilical hernia tends to be higher in those women who carry more than a baby in pregnancy. Growing a fetus in the uterus would create lots of pressure in the abdomen. When there are many fetuses at the same time, this amount of pressure would be considerably increased and weaken tissues or muscles. Also, multiple pregnancies would increase the weight of the abdomen, which is also a major risk factor. [8]
