5Kidney and Genital Issues
Many individuals with Noonan syndrome may notice some issues with their kidneys and genitals. The problems are more common in men. These include:
– Puberty: There might be a delay in puberty in both girls and boys
– Testicles: Many men report cryptorchidism or undescended testicles
– Kidneys: Most kidney issues in people with Noonan syndrome are basically mild and happen in a quite small number
– Fertility: Many women with Noonan syndrome have normal fertility. Nevertheless, fertility in males might not develop usually due to undescended testicles [8]
Skin Issues
Some skin problems may occur in people with Noonan syndrome. The texture and color of the skin can be especially affected. Also, the hair tends to be sparse, coarse, or curly. The condition would also lead to blood-clotting issues, which causes excessive bleeding and bruising for an extended period of time after injury. These signs can be easily noticed on the skin. [9]
