Other symptoms of C. Difficile include increased heart rate, fever (often lasting for days), nausea, and intestinal inflammation. The white blood cell count increases due to the need to fight off the bacterial attack. A usual occurrence is the inflammation of the colon (large intestine), which is the likely cause of blood or pus in the feces. Significant weight loss may occur (often due to loss of appetite). Kidney failure, dehydration, and nausea are also common amongst C. Difficile patients. [7]
