Disease-modifying medications or DMARDs are typically prescribed to slow down the progression of multiple sclerosis. In addition, other drugs may help manage tremors. These would include anticonvulsants, beta-blockers, clonazepam (a form of benzodiazepine), or isoniazid (for treating tuberculosis). It is important to note that some of these medications would cause dependence and lead to certain side effects. Another medication for treating multiple sclerosis tremors is Botox. Your doctor may directly inject Botox, or Botulinum toxin, to paralyze affected muscles temporarily. After a period, the effect may subside, so you would need repeat injections to manage the tremors. [4]
