13Weight Lifting
Some studies have shown that weight lifting might help prevent or reduce lymphedema. This is because muscle contractions might be helpful in moving lymph fluids back to veins in the neck and armpit, which allow them to rejoin the blood circulation. Once the lymph fluids go back into circulation, the lymphedema in your arm would improve. What’s more, gently lifting would increase your self-esteem, boost bone density, and enhance muscle tone. Before starting any exercises, make sure to consult your doctor to avoid worsening some symptoms. [13]
