2Hallucination
A common symptom of Lewy body dementia is hallucination, especially visual hallucination. This is usually one of the earliest signs of the condition. Some other forms like auditory and delusions can also be common. Visual hallucinations mean seeing something that is not actually present. This problem happens in more than 80 percent of the cases, mostly in the early stages. It is often detailed and realistic, such as pictures of animals or kids. Nonvisual hallucinations like smelling or hearing virtual things tend to be less common. When hallucinations are not disruptive, treatment is not needed. Nevertheless, when they become too dangerous or frightening, then the doctor would suggest some medications. [2]
