5Signs and Symptoms of Leukemia
Common signs and symptoms of leukemia include:
– Frequent infections: Since the white blood cells play a key role in the immune system. Leukemia would make you more prone to infections as these cells cannot function properly.
– Poor blood clotting: This may make you bleed easily, bruise, and heal slowly. Petechnie may also occur. These are small purple and red skin patches on the body, which occur when the blood is not clotting properly.
– Anemia: This occurs when the blood does not have enough red blood cells to produce haemoglobin.
Other possible signs of leukemia include fever, nausea, night sweats, chills, weight loss, flu-like symptoms, tiredness, or bone pain. [6]
