3Pain
Pain linked to an ACL injury is not uncommon. However, intensity and severity can vary, depending on the affected joints and level of damage. Most cases can be caused by swelling. You can feel the symptom within 24 hours after the injury. The sensation can become worse when you walk or stand because the damaged knee joints have to bear weight. Most people describe the pain as sharp and gnawing. It can even radiate to surrounding tissues when you do physical activities. [3]
