8Pain
You may not experience pain in the early stages of ALS, but when it becomes more serious, it is possible to experience some discomfort and ache all around the body. When ALS affects the nerve cells, it may cause some changes in the brain that will affect how the brain relays to the nerves, causing pain and aches in the muscles. Cramping is another symptom of ALS, and sometimes cramping may come with pain. When you lose control over specific muscles for some time, it is possible that the immobility and lack of control over such muscles will lead to pain. [6]
