12Breathe into Paper Bags
Choose a medium-sized paper bag that is clean because you will breathe in and out of this bag. Take a deep breath and fill the lungs while closing your mouth. During this stage, your stomach should expand. After that, put your mouth into the paper bag and exhale all of the air to make it blow up like a balloon. This can increase the level of carbon dioxide in the blood, thus limiting the spasms which trigger hiccups. Keep inhaling and exhaling for at least 30 seconds and see if the condition is gone. If it keeps happening, restart the process. [12]
