9Hypothyroidism
Hypothyroidism happens when the thyroid gland is underactive, meaning that it produces a lower thyroid hormone level than usual. This affects the metabolism, which is responsible for the body’s temperature and heartbeat. As a result, hypothyroidism can lead to cold feet and some other body parts. That is why people with this condition tend to have a lower tolerance of the cold or might have cold sensations all the time. The symptom can persist even during the hot days or when the room is hot. Some other signs of hypothyroidism include memory issues, weight gain, or exhaustion.[9]
