7Insufficient Sleep
Insufficient sleep or sleep deprivation can also trigger migraine headaches. Sleeping for the right amount of hours is very important to prevent migraine headache. An adult is meant to sleep for 7 to 8 hours. When the body does not receive this amount of rest, it tends to break down, and this will trigger a migraine or even make it recurrent. Sleep increases the body’s pain threshold and makes it immune to headaches. When you do not get enough sleep, migraine proteins are released. Just as too little sleep can trigger migraine headaches, too much sleep can also be a cause.[7]
