11 Common Symptoms & Signs of Appendicitis

2Belly Button Pain

Since the appendix is located around the navel, it is likely for you to feel pains around that side too. The pain develops in the upper abdomen, then spreads to the areas around the navel, and down to the lower abdomen. The appendix is located around the large intestine which is where your belly button is. So, when your appendix is infected and inflamed, the areas around your belly button also get their share of the pain. The pain gets worse when you move your legs, cough, and sneeze or make any jarring movement.
