Meditation is an effective method to alleviate stress, a major risk factor of teeth grinding. With many relaxation techniques, it would relax your mind and allow for better sleep at night. All you need to do is to lie down on a flat surface with your eyes closed and your hands beside the body. Breathe deeply and slowly several times while focusing on the whole body. Start with the arms, then gradually move to other areas, such as the elbows, palms, legs, toes, heels, shins, thighs, pelvis, stomach, face, chin, mouth, cheeks, ears, and forehead. The whole process would take from 10 to 15 minutes. After that, you would fall asleep deeply. [7]
