8Fatigue
In some severe cases, fatigue can happen in people with scleroderma. However, it is not debilitating and can improve with rest. Depression can be followed as a result. Anemia could also occur, which might worsen the symptom. There are many causes of fatigue, including excessive operation of the immune system, lack of quality sleep, persistent pain, as well as medications used for treating scleroderma. If left untreated, chronic fatigue would cause mental or physical exhaustion.[8]
