8Fever
A fever is one of the most common and earliest signs of Kawasaki. The condition tends to cause a high body temperature, typically higher than 39 Celsius degrees or 102.2 Fahrenheit degrees. It indicates that the immune system is activated and causes inflammation. The symptom may come on quickly and last more than 3 days or even longer, especially in children. Taking antibiotics or medications often used to reduce a fever like paracetamol or ibuprofen may not help. Urgent medical attention is needed when the body temperature becomes too high. Otherwise, more serious complications may happen. [8]
