5Skin Redness
People with Kawasaki disease might develop redness on the skin. This symptom is more common in children. It indicates that the areas are inflamed and the blood circulation is affected. More specifically, the skin on the soles of the feet or palms of the hands may become hard, red, or swollen. At the same time, they would feel their extremities become more painful and tender to touch. This affects normal physical activities, such as walking, crawling, or running. If left untreated, the symptoms may persist and affect other tasks in the daily lives. [5]
