4Conjunctivitis
Conjunctivitis or pink eye is another symptom of Kawasaki disease. It is basically an infection or inflammation of the conjunctiva, which covers the white ball and lines the eyelid. This condition happens when small blood vessels in these areas are inflamed. This makes the vessels more visible and causes the white parts of the eyes to become pink or reddish without a thick discharge. In most cases, both eyes are affected, but it should not cause any pain. It also rarely affects the overall vision. Fortunately, some treatment options are available to help alleviate the symptoms.
