Dyspareunia is a condition in which women experience discomfort during or after sexual intercourse. Studies have revealed that most women suffering from this condition do not feel comfortable about discussing this problem with their doctors. Thus, many women experiencing pain during intercourse never really talk about this problem to their doctor. This hesitation can prove to be dangerous, as dyspareunia has found to be an early symptom of ovarian cancer. If you experience discomfort or pain each time you have sex, it’s best to discuss it with a doctor. Pain-related to ovarian cancer experienced during intercourse is usually more concentrated on one side than the other. [7]
