7Skin Issues
Many skin issues may happen in those with vasculitis. Bleeding under the skin can occur and display as red spots called “purpura. These are small blood pools formed when blood vessels burst under the skin. They can be large patches or small spots, depending on the individual. Also, the condition could lead to open sores or ulcers in the mouth or lumps on the skin. A rash is also possible, even though not everyone with vasculitis experiences this sign. In more serious cases, there may be blood spots in the urine. [7]
