People with choledocholithiasis might not experience any symptoms for a few months or years. But when gallstones grow in size and obstruct the duct, you would have many health issues. Typical signs include jaundice or the yellowing of the eyes and skin, clay-colored stools, vomiting, nausea, loss of appetite, fever, or abdominal pain, especially in the middle upper or right upper area. The pain in your bile duct would be irregular or persistent. It would be mild and severe, depending on the time. In some cases, an infection would occur when gallstones are stuck in your bile duct. If left untreated, it would lead to some fatal complications.[4]
