They include having sexual intercourse with a person whose HIV status you don’t know (or with an infected person), sharing injectables with other people, or the like. If you feel you have been exposed to a high risk of contracting the virus, you may like to take quick action to salvage your health. You should go for an HIV test. It is free at some hospitals, and the self test is now possible.
