5Fatigue and Dizziness
A state of tiredness and a reeling sensation are also symptoms of whooping cough. During the fits of coughing, the pressure is built up, exhausting the strength of the patient and leaving him or tired after every seizure. The patient gradually feels weak, and he or she will have this reeling sensation as if he or she wants to fall. This is why a whooping cough patient needs to maintain a position during any seizure. Movement or agitation during the fit of coughing might make the patient fall. Even after the seizure, the patient still needs to maintain calmness for a few minutes to regain strength and steadiness.
