8Creutzfeldt – Jakob Disease
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease or CJD is a rare cause of dementia. In fact, just 1 out of 1 million people reported the symptoms of this condition per year. However, CJD can progress very quickly and lead to death after 1 year of initial diagnosis. Many people might experience depression, while others would suffer from agitation. Loss of memory and confusion can also be very common. CJD might affect the body by causing muscle stiffness and twitching. [8]
