Both Botox and Xeomin are approved for treating similar conditions. These include spascity of the upper limb, cervical dystonia, frown lines, and blepharospasm. In addition to these uses, botox can help treat excessive sweating in the underarm, abnormal eye muscle alignment, overactive bladder, crow’s feet, forehead lines, and chronic migraine. Xeomin is approved for treating chronic sialorrhea in both adults and children. Keep in mind that Xeomin and Botox can be used off-label sometime, particularly for children or medical conditions that the authorities have not approved. [5]

Who Is Suitable for Botox or Xeomin? 

To know whether Botox or Xeomin is more suitable for your cosmetic needs or medical conditions, it is advisable to talk with your doctor or dermatologist. In addition, you should be informed of the age requirements for some therapeutic applications of these injections. In general, both options would not suitable when you have a history of nerve or muscle issues, difficulty swallowing, respiratory problems, trouble breathing, and allergies to botulinum injections. Both Botox and Xeomin are also not recommended for breastfeeding or pregnant women because they may post unknown risks to infants. [6]
